I Am Poem

Writing an “I Am” poem

Avoid using obvious or ordinary descriptions or images to describe yourself, such as, “I am a 15 year old boy with brown hair.”  There are millions of 15 year old boys with brown hair.  Think of things about yourself which are distinctive.  Feel free to use a thesaurus.  Help others better understand a sense of who you are.  We are all different from each other.  Do not be afraid to express yourself.

I Am

1st Stanza
I am (two special characteristics you have)
I wonder (something you are actually curious about)
I hear (an imaginary sound)
I see (an imaginary sight)
I want (an actual desire)
I am (the first line of the poem repeated)
2nd Stanza
I pretend (something you actually pretend to do)
I dream  ( write one of your dreams/aspirations)
I feel (an emotion)
I worry (something that really bothers you)
I laugh at (something that is funny)
I am (the first line of the poem repeated)
