Acuity

If you were not here yesterday, scroll down to yesterday's entry and click on the STAR Reading link to take that test.

Everyone else, you need to take the Acuity exam for the 2nd 9 weeks today. Your username is your student number; your password is the first letter of your first name and the first four letters of your last name.

Acuity Test <= click here for Acuity. Complete the reading test.

If you already took the test with Mrs. Engnes, continue working on your essay. Follow the guidelines from Monday to format your essay. I will be very picky about this!

When you have finished typing your essay, copy and paste the essay into Essay Check in WV Writes. Essay Check is a prompt I opened up for you. To copy and paste the essay, highlight your essay and push Ctrl + C, then click on the text box in WV Writes and push CTRl + V. Push OK if necessary.
Submit the essay and revise your essay based on the suggestions that WV Writes makes. If you have anything less than a 4, you need to keep working.

When you have finished all of that, work on another prompt for WV Writes. The goal is all fours!

Bryan is paid every other Friday. If Bryan worked 30 hours both weeks and discovered one glitch how much money will Bryan be paid (before taxes, of course)?

Tech Steps—Digital Storytelling

You will be creating a digital story using Microsoft PowerPoint. Your presentation will tell a complete story (beginning, middle, and end) using text and images. We will be working in the computer lab the rest of this week; your digital story will be due on Friday.

Guidelines:
1.      The presentation must include at least ten story slides and a title slide.
2.      Each slide must have some text and an image that corresponds with the text. The images you select should enhance your story, not distract from your story.
3.      Each slide must be attractively designed. The color scheme of your presentation should not be black and white.
4.      There must be transitional animation from one slide to the next.
5.      There must be animation in each slide.
6.      Your presentation should include the components of a story (plot, characters, setting).
7.      You may use a story that you have already created as your basis for this project. However, you cannot rip off another author or a filmmaker.
