Bell-ringer: Write the sentences and then define the underlined words using context clues and prior knowledge.

Objectives:

1. As a team, review the rubrics for the presentation and PSA; then, review the description for the poster advertisement. A brochure is no longer part of the campaign.

2. After reviewing the rubrics and description, decide who will work on each component of the campaign. It needs to be clear what each person is require to do for the remainder of the day.

3. Make sure that you keep information of all sources used for the presentation. Give credit where it is due. To make a works cited slide, visit easybib.com (Yes, Mr. Spivy does not mind if you use this tool for the campaign.)

4. You should have at least three slides completed or near completion before leaving.

5. A rough draft of your script should be near completion today.

6. A rough sketch of your poster should be near completion today.

Informative Presentation -

Poster Description- create a poster advertisement that displays either the danger of teen violence or how to end teen violence. Make sure to include at least one fact from your research. This should be neat and colorful. The advertisement should be appealing to the eye; white should not be the predominate color of the advertisement.

No math today! Instead, I want you to write a paragraph about an elderly person who had an impact on your life. This person can be a grandparent, a family friend, aunt, uncle, neighbor, or even a person at church. Things you could include in your paragraph; who this person is (was), what impact this person had on your life, an entertaining story about this person, anything you would like to include.

If you cannot think of an elderly person who has impacted your life, write about the type of person you want to be in fifty years.

When you are finished, work on the informative presentation and the PSA script.

Objectives:
Continue working on your presentations and PSA scripts.
Because of our technological limitations, I am not requiring you to film your PSA. If you have a way to film and edit your video, I will allow for extra points.
If, however, you do not have such capabilities, you will perform your PSA live in class. You will not be penalized for this.
Look at the objectives from two weeks ago to help guide your work today.
If you finish the presentation and/or PSA, begin working on a design for your advertisement (poster) and brochure.  
We will be working most of next week in the lab on these campaigns.
