Bell-ringer: Rewrite the following sentences and correct any grammatical, mechanical, or spelling errors. 

1. My Mothers favrit band during her child hood were the beatles.
2. Henry along with his 3 brothers know magic trix.
3. The school of fish swum buy me in the water.
4. His box of tissues fly from he’s hand to the desk.
5.   Each bird turtle fish and rodent are for sale. 

Objectives:
Continue working on your presentations and PSA scripts.
Because of our technological limitations, I am not requiring you to film your PSA. If you have a way to film and edit your video, I will allow for extra points.
If, however, you do not have such capabilities, you will perform your PSA live in class. You will not be penalized for this.
Look at the objectives from two weeks ago to help guide your work today.
If you finish the presentation and/or PSA, begin working on a design for your advertisement (poster) and brochure.  
We will be working most of next week in the lab on these campaigns.

Objectives:

1. Research Teen Violence to gather your facts for your informative presentation and PSA. Make sure that you include the necessary information. Write down the information you will need to make a works cited page later (author, title of article, title of website, sponsor, date of publication).

 2. Begin creating your informative presentation. Follow all of the guidelines. 

3. Begin writing you script for the PSA. Follow all of the guidelines.

Bell-ringer: You have just been elected President of the United States. What are the first three laws you will try to pass and why? What are some the positive changes that could occur because of this new law? What are some negative consequences? Write at least two paragraphs on this prompt.

Bell-ringer: Write an original sentence using the vocabulary words from yesterday's bell-ringer. These sentences should be at least ten words long.

Directions for Tech Steps

For this tech step, you will be telling a story through an original slideshow presentation.  Your narrative should follow the prompt below:

Each of us has had experiences in our lives that will stick in our brains for a long time. These experiences can be pleasant, funny, terrifying, miserable, or even embarrassing. Write about one of those experiences. 

Directions:

1.     You must brainstorm, 4-square, and storyboard at the beginning of your writing process.

2.     Your presentation will have at least fifteen slides (twenty for BLOCK) and a title slide.

3.     Your presentation must use animation on each slide and will have animated transitions from one slide to the next.

4.     Each slide will include at least one graphic and some text. (Hint: Do not fill a slide with a lot of words—it looks sloppy; at the same time, the slide should have enough text on it to tell your story.)

5.     The color scheme of your presentation should be aesthetically pleasing and interesting to look at.

6.     Your presentation must include all the features necessary for a narrative (beginning, middle, and end; definite climax, and character development).

7.     There is no word requirement; however, you must use enough words to tell a complete story. Points will be deducted if your story does not seem ample.

8.     This must be completed by the end of Thursday.
